Talk to the Lord
Around about the 20th floor there was a flag-pole that was sticking out. He grabbed it as he fell, and he hung on for dear life. He began to talk to the Lord, and pretty soon the Lord spoke to him. He said, “Do you believe that I delivered Daniel from the lion’s den?” “Oh yes Lord, I believe,” and he hung on. “Well, do you believe that I delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from Nebuchadnezzar’s burning fiery furnace?” “Oh, yes Lord, I believe!” “Well, do you believe I delivered Moses and two million Israelites from Egyptian bondage, and out of the hands of Pharaoh?” “Oh Lord, I believe!” “Then turn loose!” The man thought for a moment, and said, “Now look here Lord, I got myself into this mess, I’ll get myself out.”
Well, that’s the way many of you may be. “I don’t want the Lord to do something unusual.” There’s a critical moment when you have to believe and you have to respond, and this man made the decision. What would he do? He obeyed, he went to the pool, and he washed. And the Bible says, in John 9, that he came seeing. I want you to know, that whatever has come against your life is not God’s fault.
