LR: Halleluiah.
RR: concerning words of knowledge I just gave about maybe ten or fifteen minutes ago. Esther is calling from right here in Tulsa. “I’ve been watching your program nightly. I’ve had lung problems. I’ve kept saying, “God, don’t pass me by.”
LR: Yes!
RR: “Tonight you called out healing for the lungs. I receive that healing. I’ve had asthma and pneumonia and other lung problems. Now I can breathe fully into my lungs.” Halleluiah.
LR: Halleluiah.
RR: And here is Ernest, also from Tulsa, lung condition since 1986. “All the time I’ve had problems. I’ve been on oxygen. Watching your program now I heard you give a word of knowledge about lungs, and the pain is greatly reduced. The right side is much better.” Ernest, in the name of Jesus, I pray for what God did to the right side, for Him to do on the left side. Anyone with lung conditions laid your hand on your chest right now. In the authority of the name of Jesus, I speak the living word of God to you. I rebuke this thing, and I pray for you to be healed from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet. Lung condition, are thou made whole. I’ll tell you, the power of God is healing lungs tonight, healings lungs. Also hearing loss and ringing of the ear, in the ear.
God’s healing hearing loss and He’s healing ringing in the ear tonight in Jesus’ name. Whoever you are, get up and call us and let us know what God is doing in your life. Lindsay, in just a few minutes time, I’m going to introduce my dad and my mother, Oral and Evelyn Roberts. And it’s going to be the first time that they have been a guest with us lives on this program. And I’m so glad that they’re here to be with us tonight.
But I’m going to do something first. I’m going to take you back to 1958 to Charleston, South Carolina, to meet Mrs. W. C. Murphy. This is an incredible healing testimony. And you’ll see my heritage. You’ll see the healing power of God flowing through a man’s life, a man named Oral Roberts. And then you’re going to meet him in person. See what God did, and know that God is still the same God. Hell is available on every corner. But there are those who are looking to God because God has the original supernatural. I’ve got news for you. Satan is an imitator. God has the original supernatural. The Bible says in Matthew 14 that Jesus went forth, He saw a great multitude, He was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick. Jesus went forth. Jesus was always going somewhere to heal somebody. He was either on His way to heal them, or He was there healing them, or He was on His way to heal somebody else. Jesus was like a wrecking crew against sickness and disease. I mean, he was after sickness and disease. He was hot on their heels. Wherever sickness and disease was, that’s where Jesus was. He went forth.
The Bible says He saw a great multitude. Well, He saw a crowd. There’s a crowd here. There’s a crowd watching around America, Canada, and other nations, even on the Internet tonight. But let me tell you, He sees more than a crowd. He sees you, He sees you, He sees you right where you live. He knows your name, He knows what you’re going through, He knows what you’re facing, He knows the circumstances, and He has healing. He’s rising with healing in His wings for you tonight.
He went forth. He saw a great multitude. He was moved with compassion. I’ve often wondered what compassion is. I was reminded a few moments ago, Lindsay, about my father as he was praying there. Compassion, the word compassion I remember my father once said to me, “Compassion is that irresistible urge that comes inside you to rid the person of whatever the problem is.” It’s when that irresistible thing comes up inside you and makes you want to drive that thing out, no matter what it is. That’s what compassion is. I feel that compassion in me.
Why a live healing program? Because the compassion of Jesus is in me. Because I want to see you healed from the crown of your head. I want to see you well in every area of your life from your hair to your toenails in the authority of Jesus’ mighty name. I want to see you well! That’s why. I’m moved with compassion. The Bible says He healed their sick.

But anyway, the other day I was working 16 hours and I split this finger right here. And I’ll tell you, something, there’s a healing power in this place because my finger is feeling wonderful and I think I’m going to play with everything I’ve got right now.

“The power of the Lord was present to heal.” ( RR_Luke_05:17 ) Well, He hasn’t changed. He’s still the same, yesterday, today, and forever. And if He ever had power, He still has power now. And I’ll PRRR tell you, He is the power source. Friend, in the name of Jesus, I come against the Satanic attack in your life. I come against the fear, the discouragement. I come against the loneliness, the bitterness, the brokenness. I come against that hurt in your life and I pray for you to be healed by the power of God. Let the world know that God still heals today. If somebody has told you that God’s lost His power, they are lying to you.
God is a healing God. He’s a saving God. He’s a delivering God. He has power. His power is present to heal you now. In the name of Jesus, receive your miracle. Receive your healing today. Receive Christ as your Savior. Receive a new attitude, a new change, a new deliverance in your body, in your mind, in your spirit, in your family, yes, in your finances as you sow a seed and expect God to multiply it back to you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Heavenly Father. Thank You. Peter, Ann, Isaac, thank you for being with us. Nathan, thank you for being our guest today. Richard, we had 8,000 packed into that hall. And by the third night we had as many outside. But what I want to bring out in that is, every single night we had more than 1,000 people who were blind or crippled or, you know, sick, deaf, I mean you get lepers. There are thousands of lepers. You know, I’ve prayed for the sick wherever we’ve preached the gospel. We’ve seen God do wonderful miracles. I’ve never been confronted with the suffering that’s in that country. And then on the Thursday night of that crusade we saw God do the most tremendous thing. He healed a woman who was 18 years totally paralyzed. And when she got up and just began to run across the front of this hall shouting that Jesus had healed her, I mean faith came to the people that I’ve not witnessed before. And cripples just got up and threw their crutches down and tried to walk without anybody praying for them. Hallelujah.
And we saw 12 people who were completely paralyzed healed that night. Well, they had it in their national newspaper and it just went across the country. It opened the way for another crusade for us. And, you know, from that time 60,000 people have come into the Assemblies of God movement alone. We’ve established 25 new churches in Bircao. I mean, that place is so ripe for Jesus. But you have to have a way to open the door. Now we’ve continued doing that. We’re working with the health department. We’re establishing orphanage for 300 children. We have been helping in whatever way we can medically, and that’s why I wanted to come right now. The situation in that country is, they have about 80,000 people to every qualified medical doctor.
SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS 80,000 people to one qualified doctor.
SPKM PETER PRETORIUS That is correct. And then on top of that, those doctors are all in the cities where the one or two major hospitals are. Outside of the city there are hardly any qualified doctors in the rest of the country. Now what they do is, they bring people in, train them for four months as medical orderlies and then they send them to these little outposts. And they have a book
SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS So they’re medical orderlies, they’re not medical doctors.
SPKM PETER PRETORIUS Oh no, they only train four months. You know, they’re given a little book that says, “If the man has this, give him this medicine.” But I mean they are really not trained at all. And although they’re trying their best, they’re almost, you know, doing nothing to solve this real desperate need for medical work in the nation of Mozambique. So I’ve been praying about that for two years. And, you know, when you came out to South Africa and came to Johannesburg, I just knew God was going to give us the opportunity to meet. And I spoke to you briefly then and explained the situation to you. But, you know, I want to as it were be bold enough this morning to issue a challenge to you. You know, there is more of a need in that country right now for doctors to come in and to help a nation that is in such desperate need.
But I want to say more than that, it would help our ministry and it would open the way for your ministry to be able to get the gospel into areas of that country where it’s not possible in any other way. You know, and it’s like a two-edged sword. And I want to put that challenge very powerfully to you this morning, I believe that God wants your ministry to do something about the situation.
SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Well, I want to go to immediately prayer about it. And then the second thing I want to do is, I want you to meet as soon as possible and while you’re here in Tulsa I want you to meet with Dr. Jim Winslow, who is our Dr. Luke, if you will, who is responsible for our world medical missions program. He’s responsible for the program that’s being prepared in Kenya, for the program being prepared in Jamaica and Guatemala and several other nations. And I want you to speak with him while you’re in Tulsa and see how God leads toward Mozambique. You understand our mission is to send our doctors to the nations of the earth. So let’s begin work on it.
